MAKORUS successfully defended the research scientific work for Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.

On December 9, 2014 at the meeting of the section "Forest Industry Complex" of science and technology council on development of chemical-technological and forest industry complexes in Russia, MAKORUS successfully presented and defended the research scientific work "Analysis of the status and elaboration of proposals on technological development of biotechnologies in forestry complex of the Russian Federation".

MAKORUS in accordance with government contract for the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation carried out a study of current and future trends of industrial biotechnologies of forest biomass processing in the context of their economic feasibility, analysis and assessment of the potential of forest industry complex of the Russian Federation, domestic and international experience stimulating the manufacture of biotechnological products.

As part of the work performed, schemes of project implementation for organization of biotechnological production in Russia in the framework of public-private partnerships were developed and proposed by specialists of MAKORUS. The scope of work includes a program for creating competitive import-substituting and export-oriented industrial biotechnologies in forest industry complex of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030 in order to increase the depth of wood processing and diversification of domestic economy.
